Dance Resume

Paul Botes and Donna Edelstein are former champion ballroom dancers in the International Standard and American Smooth divisions. They have won many competitions including The San Francisco International Grand Ball, The Hawaii Star Ball, The Southwestern Invitational, Twin Cities Open, The Maryland Invitational, The Chicago Crystal Ball, and many others.

They have performed in the Superbowl half time show, danced with The Strauss Symphony of America under the direction of Clyde Mitchell with soprano Judith Kopecky and tenor Alexander Kainbacher, have been seen on television as well as at many corporate and special events.

Both Paul and Donna are members of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) and the Professional Dancers Federation (PDF).

Paul holds a Fellow degree with the North American Dance Teachers Association (NADTA) which is the equivalent of a Doctorate in ballroom dance. He has trained a 5-time United States Pro-Am Champion, received 7 Pro-AM World Masters titles, 2 World Masters Grand Champion titles, trained 3-time USA Dance Amateur United States Smooth Champions, and the 4-time runners up. His students have represented region 4 at the Ohio Star ball, won the junior pro-am 10-dance at Ohio, and been 'Best of the Best' Champions in smooth, rhythm, standard and Latin.

Donna holds a Member degree with the NADTA, which is the equivalent of a Masters. As an amateur dancer she won three United States Championships in the International Standard, American Smooth and International Latin divisions. She is a regular contributor to DanceBeat – the most influential dancesport newspaper in North America.

Together, they organize The Snow Ball DanceSport Competition held each January in Minneapolis Minnesota.

As championship judges, Paul and Donna have officiated at some of the largest and most prestigious competitions in America including The Ohio Star Ball, Hotlanta and USABDA (United States Amateur Ballroom Association) Nationals.
